Paxton’s Warehouse on the Mackay waterfront will be transformed into a unique art space and its darkened interior will be filled with captivating illuminated art pieces accompanied by an evocative soundscape. Visual artists Wanda Bennett, Magdy Shiha and Tracey Johnson and sound installation artist Fiona Bishop have created artworks with an element of transition: dark to light, silence to sound, mystery to unveiling. The exhibition explores shared memories, hidden stories, secrets, disclosure and illumination. The audience will be encouraged to play with the works and discover by doing and sharing their own stories. This is a free event. This project has received financial assistance from the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland and the Regional Arts Development
