Mackay’s biggest dance party returns to the MECC. Last year every clothing store in Mackay almost sold out of white clothing as more than 700 people turned up dressed as brides, tennis players, Dennis Lillee look-alikes and Indian gurus! This year, two of Australia’s leading DJs, Jimm yZ and Mark Dynamix, will tear up the dance floor with their mix of funk,trance, jungle and party rhythms. Venture into the second room, sponsored by Bluewater Sound and Lighting, will provide cutting-edge trance and party music, where five local DJs, the Harthinator, DJ Jester, DJ Amos, DJ Mix 66, and DJ Biggsy, will be plying their trade. This exciting evening of entertainment will also feature aerialists, hostess with the mostess, Anita Service, and the Snuff Puppets
The host of Triple J’s Mix up, Mark Dynamix, has played at the Big Day Out, The End in London, The Love Parade in Berlin, Bar Morphine in Hamburg, the Hultsfred Festival in Sweden, Mambo in Ibiza, numerous clubs in Canada and throughout Australia and New Zealand. He was also named 2008 number 1 DJ in Australia as voted by pop Republic magazine alongside his number 1 and number 2 DJ accolades with 3D World magazine. Mark has proved time and time again that he’s a once-in-a-lifetime figure within the Australian dance music industry. Jimmy Z plays a diverse and eclectic range of party music to guarantee an electric party atmosphere at any venue and event he plays. Heard weekly across the country on national Radio 4PLAY by more than 250,000 people, Jimmy Z is an official ARIA contributing Club Chart DJ.
